- William Foden, Charles James Dorn, Carl W. F. Jansen, and Cornelius Daniel Schettler have been added to the Players list. I’ve often heard it claimed that the vast majority of nineteenth-century American guitarists played without nails. I’m always sceptical about these things, but the primary sources so far seem to confirm this.
- Jean-Racine Meissonnier (also known as a publisher) has also been added to the main list.
- Gustavo Sendis, a Mexican amateur guitarist who attended Emilio Pujol’s courses and even recorded an album apparently (yet to be found, though I have a shorter cassette of his), has been added to the full list.
- Catharina Josepha Pratten is now confirmed as a no-nailer too. (Thanks again Rich! Who drew my attention to a sentence in her method that, embarrassingly, I’d completely missed…)
